High School Get2gether

High School Get2gether

Another high school get-together for this year, second get-together. Meeting point was at SM Bacoor between 3 to 5 PM. Who showed up at the meeting place in SM Bacoor were Ace, Lyjie, Sarah, Aileen, Marlon, Weng, Rhoda and Rhyan. Then we waited for Brian at Mercury Drug across SM Bacoor before we went to Kainan sa Balsa. Oops!! At 7-11 in Mabolo, we met with Catleah before we went to Kainan sa Balsa. For some, it was their first time in that place and they felt happy although it was hot there. But because it was a get-together, everyone enjoyed the night with a smile. Me and Marlon ordered our food (rice, soup, chop suey, pakbet, barbecue, inihaw na panga and pancit). Dinner was served and while we were eating, Arlyn arrived. Then after dinner, it’s picture taking time Where everyone should wear our DPA Batch ’99 t-shirts. While we were having our pictures taken, everyone’s also laughing to the max, especially when we had our 10 shoots. Then someone just texted Cathleah and asking where we were and if she can still come, who was she? Nela. We informed her that we will go to Bialetti after Kainan sa Balsa, so she said that she will go to Bialetti and meet with us. We went to Bialetti and continued the chitchat, picture taking, and laughter to the max while drinking smoothies. Before I forget, Airell was just around the corner, waiting for updates. J

We always miss our High School Life and off course our classmates/friends.

After 13 years, we stepped in again in our high school Alma Mater Del Pilar Academy. We remembered things we shared, places we hangouts, teachers we really missed and changes happened to the school after 13 years. 

Why we went to Delpa? Because of the Inter Batch Basketball League, to support our batch ’99 basketball team (Dream Team). And who are the supporters? If I’m not mistaken we are only 5 namely (Julia, Jessica, Catleah, Lyjie and Me).

All though it is raining the program continue and the show must go on what ever happens and like what organizers said “This is a Blessings”. We all agreed with the organizers and amazed to all former students in different batches came and witness this first ever event.

We bagged the Third Place against Batch 2002. Congrats to all the players of Batch '99 and to all the supporters. And to PJ Pallera for being chosen as one of the mythical five.

Thanks to the organizers (DPAAI – Del Pilar Academy Alumni Association Inc.) for this successful project to gather all batch members by putting up a basketball game league and to our DPA Principal Ma’am Lorina Garcia Advincula (one of the well loved teacher in our batch).

Hope we could have a grand reunion for our batch ’99. Where are the batch class organization officers?

Like if you Want

I've watched the Fourth game (August 19, 2012) with high school bath mates, At first I know Batch 99 will win over batch  2006. But I was wrong, although same energy for both team but they have different strategy. I think on the next game the team should learned from the past game in terms of offense and strategy in time of tied game and you have less than a minute and in offense. But nevertheless, that was a nice game and I know that the team is happy what ever happened and off course their batch supporters. 

Sixth game, Batch '99 won against Batch 2008 - it was a toughed game although some players of batch '99 concluded that they will not win in that game. Why? because batch 2008 is one of the best team in the competition. But what we said that everything is possible just have faith and believe in their strength and team effort.

GOC Wintel – Shared APJ

Team building is a process that develops cooperation and teamwork within a work unit.

A team needs to trust one another. It is important that camaraderie exists between them.

We had our team building last June 9, 2012. As part of our preparation for the said event, we make sure that all members of the team could come. We’ve asked other team to monitor our phone hotline in case we have calls and forward it to the duty engineer. We sort of agreed that once they have their team building we will also help monitoring their calls.

We choose to stay at Emerald Villa Pansol Laguna (Private Hot Spring Resort). We decided on what foods to cook, snacks and drinks to buy. And we all agreed on having our team t-shirt (HP Wintel Shared APJ).

The day has come, at 4:00 PM, we departed to Laguna, 3 of our team members brought their own cars (decided to whom to ride on). One of our teammate’s already setup in their house to monitor tickets while we headed to the resort.

At 7:30 PM we reached the resort, unload all foods, drinks and snacks and brought it inside the resort house. The assigned Duty Engineer start setting up to monitor calls so that the other team member can start their travel to the resort, he lives near the resort – 20 minutes travel time. Some started to cook (sisig, rice), grilled (BBQ, Pork Chop and Hotdog) and prepared the drinks. While cooking, we were all hungry so we ate bread with spread for the meantime.

AT 8:30 PM dinner is served. In our table, we have Caldereta, Diniguan, Pork Sisig, Grilled Pork Chop, BBQ, Grilled Hotdog, Igado, Rice, soft drinks, ice tea and leche plan for the dessert. What a feast!

After dinner, we start chatting up although it already began earlier. The so called singers started singing and reserving their songs for Videoke. There's also an ongoing Billiards tournament. Some continued grilling. And swimming has started. And of course, camera’s shutters starts flashing. We loved to have a jump shot photos. We enjoyed using the slides. Although, other still engaged on monitoring and accommodating service request to supports our clients, they still have moments to enjoy the day/night.

The whole night is all about happiness and enjoyment. The fun continues until morning, although some need to sleep earlier because they have a duty the next day.

At 4:30 AM, we prepared for breakfast (fried hotdog, scrambled egg, rice, pork sisig and coffee). While preparing our foods, we arranged things in place, put leftover foods in plastic container and some started taking showers and dressed up before going home or back to office for some of us.

This is the first time we gathered in one place as a team. We look tired but happy. After the breakfast we are all ready to go, leftover foods and drinks are divided to each team members.
